Sorry, but Why? This is not a great dishwasher, old, but not great. It's got a metal wash arm, but no filter and no wash arm under the top rack. I stayed with a friend who had one of these and was told it would not remove rice from dishes. Maybe the water was not super hot, but that was his experience. It did not have a great capacity, especially the top rack which in his machine did not adjust up or down. If you love 70s HP dishwashers, by all means it's a must have, but I would not travel far for it.

another hotpoint1 same racks as mine! i remember that model!

that's got the black spray arm and pump just like the one i just got from san diego.

it might not be the best cleaning machine but it should be saved because this site is dedicated to preserving old appliances! we can't rule them out just cause they weren't great performers! at least i can't! half the dishwashers i have prob don't clean worth a crap! i still love em!

if i hadn't just had that one shipped from calif i would be interested but alas, i must pass. hope someone saves it!

That machine is a mid-70s GE Potscrubber clone, right down to the metal wash arm at the bottom and the push-to-start brown dial. It should clean fairly well, but expect to find "yibbles" on the top rack due to it's lack of filtration. Noisy as well, but reliable and built like a tank to last a long time.

Need help with the Kenmore dryer?

If anyone's interested in that Kenmore dryer, I'd be happy to help pick it up and keep it for a bit until you can arrange shipping......if you don't have your own contact in the Bay Area.

I'm 4hrs south as the VW Diesel Rabbit Pickup flies, but I'm willing to go the extra mile if someone here is serious and wants to pay for fuel. Depending on your location, my shipping buuddy can probably transport it to you, or very near to you. He runs OH to CA and back about once every 6wks in the winter and once a month in the summer with a 50x8 enclosed trailer.
