Hey all!

I've uploaded a whole bunch of new pics to my Webshots album, including pics of my AEG and Miele operating both at once (everybody say "yay" for multiple washing!!). All the new pics are in the galleries with the "New" sign - there is also a totally new gallery "Laundry Day". Anyhoos, here's the link to the Webshots album and let me know what you think of them... if you look closely through the galleries you'll also catch a few mugshots of me :-).

Take care guys!

Jon :-)

You look different in these pics, Jon.

Did you cut your hair?

Hey Chris,

Yup, had my hair chopped off 3 weeks or so ago for a dare, and a lot of it is growing back already! LOL.

Steve,

Were you referring to my washers, or the photos of myself? LOL :-)

Take care all,

Jon :-)

hey
I saw you using 2 tabs of daz (in belgium= DASH). I have always a oversudsing problem when I use two. Normally I use one allthought it's not recomended. From my point of view all recomended quantities are too much. In use half of it and everything becomes sparkling clear!

.... i agree with asko!

I use Ariel all the tme and have to say, with the right machine (AEG) only one tab is enough.... only when badly soiled do I use two.... Detergent manufacturers, beware we know what you are up to!!!!

2 tablets

Well, I find myself having to use 2 tablets, or 130ml of powdered detergent as the water here is so very hard! Believe me, I've tried using lower doses before but it just doesn't clean :-(. I've never had suds lock with 2 tabs either, and it always rinses out - so that just goes to show how hard the water where I live is :-(.

Jon :-)

explain this one, please...

How can powdered deterent be measured in litres?

Is that like in the Imperial/English system where "a cup" of solids is a also 8 (fluid) ounces?

water = 7.7 US pounds per gallon (8 pounds rounded)
16 cups per gallon-- therefore 8 pound/16 cups = 1/2 pound per cup. Since there are 16 ounces per pound, then each half cup is 8 fluid ounces. the liquid and solid measure are blurry..

same thing in metrics?

ah when in doubt see side of measuring cup.

apparently 4 cups is a litre (just like a quart!)
3 cups is 750ml
2 cups is 500 ml
1 cup is 250 ml

*YAWN* I get it now!

Don't forget that US gallons, quarts, pints are not the same as Imperial gallons, quarts, and pints, US is smaller.
