2 things could be the pump......since no water from the filtering flume could be the clutch mechanism, clutch pads bad and/or the unit itself is not working right also causing the transfer from the motor to the pump is loose.... best bet is to take the back off and see what is or is not working....the pump spins at high speed with the motor at all times....the clutch is in the middle, and gathering the racheting sound could just need a rebuild |

It's actually a pretty easy mechanism to work on....IF you can get it apart...that is the challenge. |

Repair manuals are still readily available. Filter-Flos are the easiest to work on, IMO. Probably an easy fix. Bobby in Boston |
