Yes, great find.

I just wonder how you get on their consumer panel to try the new products. I Have the Kenmore version that I purchased 6 and 1/2yrs ago. I have not had any problems or repairs, however, there is alot I would change about the machine. I don't think they that should have said "we got it right". They didn't

Yeah, I didn't hear them talk about "quality" in all their praise of their design efforts. :( May my former Cabrio R.I.P. :(

Hate to be negative on the WP Duet-the WP folks were really tooting their horns about these machines-but related video clips show some buyers very UNHAPPY with their Duets.

rush rush

''We had to get this done in 2 years''. BS! ENGINEER the f'n things to last a minimum of 5 years with normal use. If it takes 2 1/2+ years, then so be it! Build 'em to a QUALITY spec, not a time-frame spec. Oh,well, everything is f'd up,may as well build way overpriced/garbage appliances too.

If it's true that they came up with those innovations, then they did hit some home runs...definitely there is nothing technical they did but the pedestal concept everyone seems to have copied. The colouring of appliances as well...when I am in Lowes or an appliance store, most people are talking about the colour and looks and there is not one word about how well it works...makes me laugh and kinda makes me cry being the technical person that I am...
They seem to be what has become of american engineering...keeping the american name but replacing the engineering with marketing...

...and ignoring the quality and the actual building of the item somewhere else. Most major appliances are designed now for a 5-7 year life span. :(
