Preway gas products were built just 46 miles southwest of Wausau, in Wisconsin Rapids, until the early 1990's, when the company went out of business IIRC.

PREWAY GAS DISHWASHER

I have had one of these tucked away for years to use in my miracle all gas kitchen that i am building out on my screen porch. Its quite unique in construction it uses a spark plug like a gasoline lawnmower for the ignition of the supercharged gas burner. It blows out quite a bit of heat from the lower front grille when heating water not some thing i really would want in my kitchen in the sumer but should be fine out on the porch.

Do your dishes...with gas!!!

Neat concept to super-heat the wash water. Didn't Whirlpool have a gas heated dishwasher, or have I inhaled too many POR15 fumes??
The electric Preway machine sure looks like a DM roto-rack to me!

Someone needs to call Granny Clampett and ask her how she liked her Preway gas dishwasher.

John, I hope you get that screen porch kitchen finished this yar. Glad you tucked one of these away--vaguely remembered you having one of these. I think Brent is the only one I know of thus far who had exposure to these while growing up!!

call Granny Clampett

Oh, yeah, the Preway dishwasher was in the Clampett mansion! Still, Granny preferred lye soap and 'ceement pond' for dishes and laundry anyways... LOL
