Both my grandmothers had this exact model I do believe, and I've not seen one since 1972 or so. What year model is this machine? Folks in the family seemed to think they were bought in 1964 or so. I later found out my great aunt had one too. They all bought them from the same little family owned appliance store in Westfield, NJ. One grandmother had hers matched to a 1963 coppertone Lady K dryer, and the other had a late 60's GE dryer. They had the bakelight surgilator with the 'thumbnail' agitator cap, which was so cool as compared to our seemingly giant pregnant Roto-Swirl with the scrubber cap. Both my grandmothers saved laundry for when I came to visit. What a great looking machine!!! Gordon | ||
