Anybody know what year this Whirlpool could be from? I think the price is pretty high though!

This should be from around 1983/4ish....I had one like it but mine was a SUPREME, but looked just like this one, same features, extra large capacity, double duty super surgilator, belt driven, very nice machine, but the price should be under $100.00 IMO

I agree, price is too high. From the picture, it's a nice machine, but looks on the outside can be VERY deceiving. Considering the main cause of death for short tub post BD machines, paying that much for a BD that is kinda common(around my area) only to have it to start leaking shortly after you get it does not make sense. In fact I have one that looks very similar but only with the wood-grain style on the console. I'm scared to put water in it because I think it will start leaking, even though it has not yet.

And this guy made an emphasis to announce he lowered the price! LOL! I would hope so, considering you can get a brand new Amana at Home Depot right now for $259 bucks! If it were maybe $50 bucks...I might jump on it! I think I might shoot him an e-mail about that..hehe.

Ahhh, memories...it's the one my mom had...loved that machine. My NEW Speed Queen actually smells like the old Whirlpool did when new. (mechanical oils, etc.)

What does "BD" stand for in WP posts?

"BD" stands for Belt Drive.

He lowered the price MBA!
The new low price should be $125.00. As you can see that the washer outlived the dryer by several years. He don't know what a gem he has!
