fair cond.

Wash seemed fine, but sluggish. So I fitted her with a new capacitor and now shes barking like mad, lol.
Spin still sluggish, even after checking brushes etc. she wont pick up speed, but still spins towels drip free.
Any info on how to remedy spin motor will be greatly appreciated.

cream faded control panel

nicely looked after by previous owner. I could tell that she had never been opened up for servicing/tinkering..

seized pump?

Congrats on your find i have the first Hoover TT and although its in great condition i have found the spin pump to seize when its been standing i am looking for a replacement as even after cleaning its not as free spinning as it should be. Try removing the pump belt and turning the pump manually or seeing of the motor turns the spinner better. Not sure if this is the problem, Good luck

Richard

Thanks,

Ricky for your advice... I already have tried that. The pump seems to be fine.
Once I even fixed a leaking Hoovermatic pump by cutting a hole in the middle of a large suction cap (the type used for plastic soap dishes and such) was only hoping for it to be temporary solution. hoping that it leaked a little less, but expected it would leak even more!! As far as I know it is still going strong never leaking one drop since. Used both the worn rubber seal and the 'modified' suction cap.

Nice machine! I love the instructions on the control panel. Those machines have a high put through, you can do a lot of laundry with them in a short time. You have to do more yourself, but that is supposed to be fun! The frontloader in the back is your Kelvinator I assume?
