back in 1993,at the dump with a buddy,seen a washer i could
tell was from the 1950's by the controls and rounded edges
looking in the top was a black-capped pulsator, under was a
1954 dated delco motor with a turbine type drain pump on
the bottom of the motor.Car we came in could not fit washer
and dump was going to close for the day before i could grab
a pickup, dragged the unimatic to a low,out of the way area
by a litter fence and tried to hide with some tumbleweeds
and cardboard with plans to retrieve the next day...
...then got rained out as that section of dump was closed
due to mud-by the time a few days later i got back there
to grab the washer,it had been found, moved back to the pile,
and buried under junk where i could not uncover it without
a front end loader. So close....
