can't you just put on a new valve, turn off the water, remove the old one, a little pipe dope or tape, and install a new one in minutes.....depending how old I would install hot and cold new.....some get so scaled up its hard to turn on/off, and then theres the ocassional drip/leak..... post a pic if you need some help..... |

I hope that i will see some pictures of your first load maiden wash in your new machines and just 1 small question what is the model number of your washer and dryer because if i can not afford the canadien version of the speed queen washer and dryer when my duet set breaks i might buy for me and my mother the same model?

Thanks for showing that to us, magic_clean. It was very informative. Dan: From what I remember of these machines, they have a cork-screw agitator similar to some of the last Maytags. NorfolkSouthern |

Oh, and one more thing (again): Don't be dismayed when you see the upper portion of the dual-action agitator going in reverse along with the longer, counter-clockwise stroke. I was really ticked off about it, but then noticed that because of the angle of the corkscrew blades, it didn't lift the clothes back up when it reversed. It definitely helps pull them down during the short, clockwise stroke. When it reverses, the clothes just slide off it, but they don't get pulled back up. It would have been nice if it was engineered to corkscrew downward during the long, counter-clockwise stroke. That would give you more dual-action bang for the buck. Have you been able to solve the water faucet issue and get them hooked up? |
