i had the option to buy these 4 beautiful dishwashers from the gentleman who posted an earlier thread stating they were for sale.
they are a brand new never used mobile maid, a 1949 g.e. impeller machine, an old 52 kitchenaid top loader and a nice 1969 kenmore roto rack front loader. i had been given till the 5th of march to tell him yes or no. the price for all four was $698.00 i almost bought them but i decided that i really don't have the energy to drive to connecticut next week and pick them up. i would have to rent a truck and after this long cold winter i just don't have the energy! plus i have no room to really put them or properly do them justice! i am posting pics below and hopefully someone will grab these wonderful machines! i did tell him if no one else buys them i can check with jim the trucker to see if he will be in the area and maybe i could buy one or two. this was a very tough choice for me but i realize i have too many already and not enough space plus i need to save my money for summertime household repairs etc. i realize too i am addicted to buying dishwashers so i just made myself say no in spite of that little voice (committee actually) in my head telling me to splurge and do it! but i sure would have loved them, especially that kitchenaid and that round g.e. impeller machine, not to mention that brans new mobile maid. here are the pics! i hope someone buys them and gets lots of fun out of them! here's that 69 kenmore! |

top loader from 1952
i have a top loader kitchenaid but it is a kd-5. this one ofcourse has the cast iron spray arm and pump like my kd-12's and kd-14 has. this one really hurts to pass on too! well they are not gonna be mine and i'm simply gonna put them out of site and out of my mind! i told myself "no more" this year and i'm sticking to it! i'm going to start working on my rollermatics again soon and i have that kd-14 waiting for me on the front porch! my buying days are over! i hope i can pull it off! whoever buys these, please lots of pics that i will look at later when it no longer hurts! |
