Philco

I think Philco was an indipendent firm untill the late eighties, then it's become an Antonio Merloni's brand, not Indesit, like Ardo, Bompany and White-Whestinghouse.

Diomede

WW is used as budget badge by SMEG

Diomede is right,
Indesit is Vittorio Merloni, not his brother Antonio "asko".

Anyway I guess in the seventies Philco, Ignis were the best italian made washe.... opss sorry frontloaders. There was just one toploader, THAT one :)

Diomede there was a contemporary frontloader of the Superatomatica ? Oddly when i think of vintage Ignis i just remember 60 cm wide toploaders
