Perhaps this was posted before, but if so I never saw it. Very strange looking machine....

Nice demonstration.

Would hate to get an arm caught in this thing. Might rip it right off...

I have seen this video before. The owner is Bertrand, he is from France. This is a French Frigidaire, don't know if the name there was ever owned by GM.

I think there is supposed to be a lid switch but ofcourse it was disconnected...

This guy has many more interesting European machines. I recently posted a link to a semi-automatic frontloader on this forum.

french?

there was french writing on the control panel,so there might
have been unique french frigidaires?
When i bought my shipping damaged spendide 6100 for fix-up,
they also had an (undamaged as far as i could tell)new zealand
made washer that had that same tub arrangement with a hatch
in the horizontal axis tub-was a fisher/paykel as i recall.

H-axis toploaders are the most popular type of washer in France. The video is from a French collector. He has his own website.

Interesting . . .

. . . the way companies get together that we don't know about. I was in New Zealand a few years ago and saw a washing machine that was EXACTLY like a Fisher & Paykel that my neighbor has, but the label said Frigidaire.

I had never seen anything like that before.

Frigidaire is just another label for Fisher and Paykel in New Zealand. They have marketed F&P washers under Frigidaire, Kelvinator, Savaday and Elba brands as well as their own name.

Frigidaire was also used here in Australia as a brand name owned by Email group, used on fridges from New Zealand made by F&P, on fridges from Korea (not sure who made them) and on front load washers made by Gorenje in Slovenia.

Hey louis he use to post his machines here all the time.
Don't you have one of the Phillips washers he has ? I know you have one of them , wish they where here in the states, if we could have top loaders like that it would save a lot of space in some of these apartment's we have here in the U.S.
or small kitchens.

Darren,

I don't think he has a Philips toploader, at least not in his pictures and his videos, I'm not sure though. But in the video of the Laden frontloader I recently posted you can see a Philips frontloader. It's the machine left behind the Laden with a big round blue, white and red sticker on it. Here is that video again.
