With Way too much time on my hands, I decided to put my Pea Brain to the test and figure out how to do a Vid with my Sure Shot.

It's sort of Crude, but you'll get to see what we all like.

DRAMA of the Unimatic. I used Persil Mega Pearls as it's Low sudsing and you can see the turnover. This just White towels and I have a thing about overloading the machine because of it's age and I think so far , Mechanically it's perfect. I had to replace the Timer Motor and the Fill Valve as I'm sure all of you remember.

On with the Show ... Thanks everyone for your help. Eddie

I cannot wait to get mine up and running again. I need to get my hands on some water and oil bellows and bearings and put it all in there. These are such unique machines.

Great video! Just gotta love the sights and sounds of those Unimatics...especially the "erk" as the tub stops spinning.

and you brought your nose right up to the million G's vortex. Braveheart Eddie! Awesome. And whale harpooner, too, (YouTube name).

We always extol the dependability of the Maytags, but we forget that there are many, many, "mechanically perfect" early 50's Frigidaires out there, too, humbly pulsating away and spinning at 1140 rpm's, all without a hitch. And you got one ;->

I know it's sort of "The same Old Stew, just reheated" but it's always fun to watch any Unimatic Run.

mickeyd : Did this make your morning ? LOL

I'll make one of the 1961 Whirlpool soon.

Made me run out and get a fresh Apricot Rustic Tart from Wegman's to celebrate. mmmmmmm better than "stew" lol. I'm having it now.

Perseverance and Patience paid off in pulsations. A hard sad road at first and then.........SUCCESS. Good for you!

Eddi, I odn't think it was a crude video or same ol stew either. Every Frigidaire load is like a "first time" experience. and I approve of the low-suds Persil. I personally get tired of the suds cakes. As a kid, I was always intrigued by the roll over and washing of the load in any Frigidaire.

Sucker for the Flow

I appreciate how quiet the Frigidaire is and the silent beginning of the spin. The best part is the overflow at the end of the wash. I never missed it when I had my Frigidaire.

Great video Eddie! Congratulations on getting that machine up and running perfectly. Frigidaires are fun machines, however they can be a real PITA to work on. (or to gather parts for)

This is the way a washer should work.
Quick from was to spin, not leaving any time for dirt to re-settle!

Thanks for posting!

Was wash enter above?
Wash was left out?
Where was swishy, fishy, tizzy, lizzy?
She was busy getting dirty.

And the moral of this story?
Don't leave out the H in the wash!

Great video! Steve K just got a new torque spring for the 53 unimatic we're planning on getting up and running soon. We also have a new control panel for the Lady K and a new motor for the 68 Kenmore 900 w/ spankalator. Lots of work to do!
