Hey guys... I goofed and put this in the off topics side where people who know the answer may not venture!

I have a GE Nautalis portable dishwasher and it has the kind of latch that you slide from left to right to lock. I've always preferred the "space bar" type that you squeeze, but anyway, it's been problematic lately. When I go to open it, it kind of catches and the movement is really jerky... I kind of have to fight it. I thought food might have built up on it, so I scrubbed it with a toothbrush and it's still like that. Any clues as to what might be going on with it?

Thanks!

Spray a bit of contact cleaner or WD-40 where the latch protrudes through the door. Also spray some in the hole to the right of the latch hook (in the door).

There may be a small screw that needs to be tightend on the latch. A loose one making it a bit unlevel. The latch that is.
