There was a discussion a while back about the smallest dryer. This is my entry, a Speed Queen Contempo mate.It was part of a stacked set, but the washer left us years ago.

are pretty basic, a timer and a start button. Does a good job for a 110V dryer.

When Speed Queen was a Speed Queen! I think this dates from the mid 80's or so.

I worked on several of these back in the 80s&90s they were made in Japan I am not sure by who. The washer worked like the little Hitachi built GE portables except the agitator had a high post.

i thought it looked kinda japanese,i have only seen 1 japanese
dryer-it was at the dump and the drum was driven by rollers
on 2 shafts, one belt driven from the motor-much like the '58
GE dryer seen on this forum a couple weeks ago(and like the
Ca.1960 hotpoint "silloette" dryer i once had)

I wonder what washer went with this? Did SQ ever make a portable aside from the Servis-built twin-tubs?
