Bri and I are watching Alf Season 1 on DVD.

On the show "Help Me Rhonda" we get a glimpse of what's in the laundry room (where Alf lives)

Washer: 70s GE. Probably BOL. Most of the control panel is masked off to hide the brand name.

Dryer: 60s Norge with window door. I'll have to snap a pic from the DVD.

So I guess we can add Alf to the list of classic TV shows that show laundry equipment.

I definitely remember the dryer, in that it had a drop-down door with a round window. I had no idea Norge made windowed dryers.

Hmmm.. I don't know. Maybe they modded it.

In the episode, Alf is watching a stuffed sheep go round and round it. But the dryer seemed to be being turned by hand underneath the stage.

Both machines were obviously nicked from a used shop and butchered for the show.

I got many bewildered but understanding looks from Bri as I kept shouted "Show the washer!"

Jason,

At this point, Bri should not be bewildered at all when it comes to classic TV shows, appliances and you! ;)

Knots Landing

We like to watch old episodes of Knots Landing on Soapnets Disfunctional Family Night (Saturday) I am always hoping that Karen will leave her laundry room door open so we can see her big dial Kenmores.

Also saw the movie with Cher and that boy with the ugly face. Her washer in that movie is just like the Kenmore 800 Greg just got.
