Hey Guys and gals need your help. I have a 1976 WCD Frigidaire she's been silent for the last two years. I decided to hook her up and do a test run. She agitates fine and spins fine but the timer doesn't advance. Want to get her to run a full cycle. Any suggestions. Timer was fine before. Thanks, Mike

sounds like just a stuck timer motor-probably a little cleanup,
possibly some oil will get it going again.

I'd try

oiling it up some and see how that does, otherwise it may need a new timer motor.

TIMER MOTORS

Frigidare , Maytag and Norge often used Kinston timers they are black plastic sort of flat with thermals on both sides. They were prone to motor failures as the older thread said some have a gear drive others have a little eccentric drive pin. Your old frigidare would have a gear there are two different speed motors one has 30/11 on it the other has 40/11 on it.Maytag was good at keeping these motors available for many years so I always just bought them from maytag to use on all the washers that used kinston timers.

Just a heads up I found a repair service in Pa call Dave's repair service you send him the timer motor and for 38.00 he rebuilds the timer and then sends it back. He said it takes about a week. Thanks for the advice. What a great bunch of people.

I went to a place that I deal with if they have wringer washers for sale I told them that I had a 1976 Frigidaire roller matic and I needed a timer motor they had an old kingston 60-1 on and old magic chef timer. They said take it home and try it out. I have washed three loads of clothes. You guys and Re-sorce are the greatest. Mike

Glad you got it going man, it's a simple fix -- and as we all know, there is nothing like washing in a Frigidaire.

Kingston timer motors

Great going!

Kingston still makes timer motors; maybe yours matches up to one here in case you ever need another.
