Saved from a Goodwill and straight into a loving and caring home. The model KUP Westy was repainted and revved up and works like a champ. Also aquired a service manual and complimentary drinking glass. The bakelite impeller swirls water at a fantastic rate. All wiring and motors were tested by my electrical engineering friend and I. Everything turned up safe except for the heating element. Seems that the dishwasher, upon going into the last cycle (drying) sets off my GFI outlet. We narrowed it down to the heating element which, after testing it, seems to have a short. I have pictures of the element wich I will eventually post along with more photos. If anybody can tell me where I can find a heating element, I would be most appreciative. Also, looking for an owners manual for this beauty and an airator for the sink coupling. LOL to everybody. You can be sure!

Ethel, Look!

"Look, Ethel, here's the new Westinghouse rollabout dishwasher. I call it 'Lucy's little helper'!"
And for '59, there was a hot water booster.
"Oh, Fred, I want one!"
As Betty Furness (and the stars of the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour) never failed to remind us--You can be sure if it's Westinghouse!

VERY NICE Good for you

I must admit that is one of the nicest dishwashers I have seen. Reminds me of a KA dishwaher of its time. Hope to see pic's of the inside. Michael
