Hi Guys

Here's my latest acquisition....a centre dial Maytag A207. I bought this off a washer repairer who advised it was a private import from Singapore. It was designed for export markets and runs on 220V 50HZ. Centre dial Maytags were never sold on the Australian market, we only starting getting Maytags with the '10' series.

The serial number is 206887SU....can anyone advise when it was made?

It's going to be moved into the laundry soon. Now that i have my own centre dial model, i can understand why a lot of members like these machines. The styling is so classic.

Cheers
Leon

What a beauty, and so pristine for its advanced age of 37 years. I saw this exact model once in the home of a 90 year old woman back in 1987. She took care of it, as it had no scratches, dents, or any signs of age. I remember thinking how close it was to the A206 we had. The only differences between this model and the 206 are that the 206 has the brushed chrome frame and the black agitator.

Have a good one,
James

You will LOVE this washer.

I had the A208.

The gentle action is very gentle, for a top-loader. It is a very quiet machine, too.

Yours is a beauty.

Leon, i have the A206, it has the fabrimatic system, 1 wash speed gentle has agitate, pause sequence. I love mine for bathroom rugs, and smaller loads. I wish you the best of luck with your new Maytag, They are also great for a smaller load that is heavily soiled. They are relaxing while running, thruuum, thruuum, thruuum. Not even my newer dependable care Maytag hits the same bar on the quality. I hope you enjoy yours. alr2903

YAY Leon! Great looking Maytag. I can only imagine how difficult it is to find these down there. I can't walk 50 feet without tripping over one here!

A lighted 806 panel sure would look good on a machine like this....

A WHITE Maytag Powerfin inside a gleaming stainless steel tub with giant disc perforations. GOOD LORD. If I knew how to post that pic in this thread I would. It has to be one of the most beautiful tub&agitator shots we have. What cool stuff. And way before that, the humble semi with the amazing speckled tub, and the machine you're standing in front of all lit up. Such variety, so unique. Everything different and unusual, and such intense gadgetry on the control panels. I love it. What bliss. And so many suds-returns. More bliss--NO--ecstasy. The variety down under always makes me crazy.

Many, Many Thanks, Leon, for an Easter basket full of multi-colored washing machines. Total eye candy. Halleluia. Let Jesus rise. YAY ;-D
