Hey!

My grandparents have a range similar to that! It's a Montgomery Ward Cooking Center in Harvest Gold. They bought it new in 1970-something. It's unique because of the upper oven. It works out for grandma because she can't stoop down into the big oven anymore.

Quel dommage!

What a shame that they are in North Carolina... I would LOVE to add that KA to my turquoise diswasher collection! It looks like the front panel was custom-painted to match the cabinets!

Dishwasher looks nice on outside, but what is that on the inside? It looks to me like the tank has been chipped and is rusting out. Agree it's been painted to match the cabinets, as the color is more like the old Frigidaire "Sherwood Green" of the mid '50's than Turquoise.

That Frigidaire range is very nice. On my monitor at least it looks to be a light green color - certainly not Avocado. Or is it just white, reflecting the green cast from the surrounding cabinets. The home-ec room of my H.S. had the single oven version with these large windows. They were put in when school was built in '66.

Frigidaire range

That is very similar to the Frigidaire double oven range that my aunt still uses every day. They got it in '66-'67 when they built their house.

FRIGIDARE TWIN 30 RANGE

The range looks to the sunnyyellow color that FD used in the early 1960s the DW and range are about the same age.

Bet it is yellow like Combo52 says. I must need to adjust my monitor. Did see appliances once in a model home that were a light celery green, but have no idea of brand. That was in the late '60s.

ST CHARLES CABINETS

combo52's profile picture
I had fore gotten I had a customer in NW washington with the same color St Charles cabinets. They even painted the front panels on the 1987 KM Ultra wash and mid 1980s GE GSD2800 electronic dishwashers to match the cabinets.

What a nice find. I'd like to have it all.

Those aren't St. Charles cabinets, although they're almost as good. Those are Geneva cabinets; the handles are the giveaway.

but i agree with my fellow cincinnatian "circle W" that tub has got some major rust or future rust problems goin on! pretty big areas where the porcelean is missing looks like to me.

but it wouldn't stop me from buying it if it were closer to ohio! it's a beautiful kd-14 superba. i finally got a kd-14 recently but mine is not a superba like this one. mine only has a little start button instead of the 3 cycle buttons in the above model. but i love it just the same! and there is no way i could even contemplate buying this one above! hope someone grabs it though!

I don't think I've EVER seen a KitchenAid in that kind of shape. What kind of abuse could have caused all that. that is disgustin and horrible. The outside is such a beautiful machine. The people at the end of the street on our side, who had the Norge combo, this dishwasher was in the kitchen that came with the house when it was built in 1961.
