Hello, my name is André and I'm the brand new owner of a Huebsh Commercial TL washer/dryer. I will always be available to discuss Speed Queen (US) and Huebsch (CA) and to exchange ideas, opinion, tips, infos and suggestions. This site and blog has been a wealth of information in helping me make a buying descision. Hope the generic name of this thread will be enough to generate discussion under this thread and not generate unnesessary ones on the same sbject matter for the near future.

Best regards from Canada,

André

Huebsch/Speed Queen

Don't have a digital camera, so no pictures Mike. And thanks for the welcome Dan. The machines look exactly the same as SQ. If you look at Alliance's website you will see their is no difference exept for the brand name and the 'H' logo.

Considering rising the max water fill level as it looks pretty easy as per previous posts on this blog and I have a service manual that I found on the internet of the 1997 Amana models (Alliance seems to be using the same template for their Huebsch/SQ models). But since the machine washes the same loads as my previous High Capacity GE Medallion (was very satisfied by the service redered... RIP) I'd rather use the reset button and manualy fill the machine for those occasional extra large loads.

My model is the ZWN432; same as SQ AWN432.

The only thing I was disapointed with was the delicate cicle... WAY too delicate with those short agitation times and soaking periods. But I just found out that if I reset the timer once the machine has filled, the initial 3 min. (approx.) soaking turns into agitation time.

Best regards.

Tub cleaning

Does anybody have any suggestion of what product I could use to occasionaly wash my stainless steel inner tub?

Decided to increase water level. Will keep you posted on how it went once it's done.

Cameo or Bar Keepers Friend are the gold standard for stainless steel...I run a few inches of hot water in the tub, make a paste with a wet sponge and apply it to the wet tub. Rinse well. You will have to use a lot of elbow grease on the SQ tub...after it's clean, I use Sheila Shine to make it glow...just make sure you let it dry completely before your next load of laundry...I even go the extra step of running an empty load with detergent...just to make sure their is no residue left. Never use these products on "shiney" or polished stainless steel. This is how I clean mine...not sure about everyone else...if their is a better way, let me know...it's quite a chore!
