That is shocking!

And an indictment of society's failure to help people with mental health issues. I don't see how the judges' sentence will help this man; and help he desperately needs. This fellow needs residential care of some sort, or some kind of other domestic and social support.

I'm not a raving neat freak like some on this forum, but that is ridiculous! Probably would be money ahead just bulldozing the place and starting from scratch rather than attempting to clean and restore.

Its sad that we live in a society where people dont want to get involved with their neighbours. Sadly thats the way things are going and it's getting worse all the time. Mainly because people are too busy with their own lives and partly as people are too scared to get involved. Being a care worker for a number of years these images shock me and also worry me incase i got to the stage were i couldnt manage no more then maybe there wont be anyone to look out for me. Sad very sad but at least most of the cats have been rehomed.

Rob, I absolutely agree.
Through the court's ruling that poor man is not only emotionally devastated but now he is ruined as well. Not helpful at all.
Besides: Remarks like "how can anyone...", "I could never...." or "why not put the rubbish out on a daily basis" are somewhat thoughtless and one-dimensional to me. Those people should thank their gods for never having been emotionally broken to THIS degree, but it might happen to anyone of us, simply anyone.
Who will care then?
