An engineer who visits the site where i work told me he had an old Electron 800 and offered it to me.

He brought it in today it is bit tatty but as i have a similar machine (800 dual spin) I should be able to make this one good.

Gary

When they are serviced and running, like all the old Hoover machines they are very good to use and their wash perfomance is excellent.

But i have admit your Philco/Bendix is even more amazing! :-)

How do Gary.

Am over the moon about you getting this machine gary, as it fills another gap in the 2nd series electrons that are preserved.

All that is needed is an A3252 600rpm machine (with the induction motor!) then thats the core 2nd series fully represented!

A3252 electron 600 - ?
A3254 electron 800 - myself and rob
A3256 electron 800 dual spin - your good self
A3258 electron 800 de luxe - your good self
A3260 electron 1100 de luxe - john
A3268 computer control 1100 - john

Dont go stripping your A3256 to repair the A3258! wouldnt want a gap redeveloping!

Oh to be able to get them all together one day - what a sight that would be.
Could even try and remake the brochure.

Really cant wait to see more detailed shots of your new find. For ever and a day, I have always assumed that the entire 2nd series all featured black facias.
When Mathew mentioned that yours had a grey one it certainly had me confused.

I attach a brochure image of the A3258. Now I look at it again though.......mmmmm.......maybe its my computer monitor.

Good find.
Paul

Hi Gary.

Pheww....for the moment anyways. lol.

I do keep imagining an electron arrangement, all with drum fulls of colour co-ordinated towels. Oh the 1980s - a classic era.
