For a good reason, Polkanut. D&M - maker of Kenmore dishwashers - was the successor to Avco American Kitchens and Crosley. D&M took over the Connersville, IN plant when Avco stopped making AK and Crosley in the mid 50's. |

I never saw a Crosely washer with a rubber tub. The only one I remember is the Bendix Economat "Rubber Tub". Ross |

Yes, the washers and dryers are actually Bendix with differing trim, sold under the Crosley brand. Bendix, Crosley, and American Kitchens were all AVCO divisions. |
