OK, this thing is going to take some work. The mechanism isn't too bad but practically every part will need some kind of attention. It's a Westy design 24" cabinet. Lighted panel (backsplash is actual glass) with a roller-guide on the left side and lots of buttons for the pushing on the right. A guaranteed tear down resto awaits. -Cory

Oh Lawdy, complete with the "Good Housekeeping" seal, I'm sure.

I've seen that timer dial before - downstairs in a bin?? I'll do some searching...

I think I saw similar machines in Wards catalogs a couple of weeks ago at Robert & Fred's. I have the 62 MW F&W but no 24" Westy-made machines were available by then.

Pete, it is a US model, a Westinghouse-made Monkey Wards, first I've seen in person. Ben tells me the spacemates boot and other parts will fit it.

Greg, sounds interesting. I have no idea on a year of this beast either...

There is (WAS) a Wards Windsor at the JYard RickR and me frequented a few years ago. Wasn't that fancy, though.

Nice machine, looks like a lot of work to do!

I knew immediately it was some sort of TOL Westy. But never would I have guessed it was a Wards branded Westy. Love the exclusive flat front and the round window on the door. This is most likely the narrower version of Jetcone's TOL 57 or 58 Westy pair he has. Will undoubtedly be beautiful once you're finished with her!! The Duchess of Windsor.

Interesting machine

What year do you think it could be? The colored pushbuttons remind me of those on our old '63 Westinghouse dryer. I've never seen one like this before, either in person or pic. We didn't usually get the MW catalog, and I don't think they had any stores in the Cincinnati area back then. MW did build a catalog dist. center much later which had a sales area in it; think sometime in the 70's. Didn't know anyone who had MW appliances around here, but a relative in MS did have a MW fridge at one time. Looks like you have your work cut out for you with this one.

Awesome looking machine! Never heard of the MW Windsor branded Westy!
I love the back splash! Does the entire back light up? You could do billboard advertising on it!

WESTINGHOUSE BUILT SPACE SAVING WASHER

This is the same as the WH space mates in a free standing model I think its actually 25" wide. I had seen one of these out on the farm in South Dakota with the boys around ten years ago. Its the only other one I have seen, it was unfortunately in the same poor cosmetic condition or I would have brought it home .Very cool and rare machine.
