I know this has been addressed before, but I missed it. Is it possible to use a magnet to be able to see the wash action on a calypso or do you have to bypass the lid switch? Thanks.

Calypso lid switch is a microswitch, not magnetic. The controller board must see the lid "open" after a cycle or it won't allow another cycle to start ... although unplugging the power cord has the same effect. I added a toggle switch into the lid switch harness under the console, mounted the switch in the console end cap. Toggle switch on, the lid switch is bypassed. Toggle switch off, lid switch works normally.
