Here's the new gas dryer. It'll pair with the Gold Kenmore until I get the Gold 80 series dryer from John. It will allow us to run another dryer since we don't have a big enough service panel for more than 2 220 lines.

Congrats on an awesome acquisition. Hopefully you will find the washer match to this.

Have a good one,
James

Full Control Panel. This has a full florescent bulb, rather than a single light bulb like our 70 series. What was the cutoff (either panel-wise, or model-wise) between incandescent and florescent?

Can this just be repainted?

Did the dryers also have porcelain tops, or were they painted? This one feels more like paint, but I assumed they were all porcelain on top like the washers.

I have the exact same dryer

And from the model number, it looks like a 1973, not a '72.... like mine.

I have this dryer too,

Got it about a week ago. Birthday present to myself.
Yours looks in very good shape. Mine just needed a good cleaning and belt. Must have been in a good dry location, no rust.

Nice dryer....

but as with washers, what is the difference between regular/standard and heavy duty?

of all machines I have seen with and without this term, they all seem to be built the same inside and out, but any salesman will swear their built better...!
