Hi Guys

Just for those who are interested, I stayed at a holiday home just outside of Perth and found this little time capsule sitting there.

This is a Hoover Commodore washer. It was part of the very popular Hoover range at the time. Other Australian posters know more about it but these came about in the 1980's somewhere. Following models were very much the same principal but with added extras like Soak cycles and Suds Return.

This was the first Australian washer I ever used as my grandparents owned one when I came to visit from the UK. It has great noises such as the timer continually ticking away and the chugging sounds as it rev's up to its 750rpm spin speed.

These machine borrowed their design from the Japanese company Hitachi in terms of agitation mechanics.

That particular machine dates from about 1994 going by the colour of the graphics...

i was only hazarding a guess since i started typing the post and realized i had not really done my history on the machine, i just love the styling and the mechanics :-)
