hey guys. As a current poster child for lg and satisfied customer i can do nothing but sing there praises and was pleased to see the new range don't disapoint. Included is a pic of the replacement for my f1402fds6. This is the f1479fds6. Main differences are the new pull to release smoked door. The same programmes as the 11kg model darks, half load, mix, silent to name a few. And the new six motion technology. 1. Scrub. The load is throw from side to side. 2. Filtration which is a distribution speed tumble. 3. Rolling. Slow tumbles to saturate. 4. Normal tumble. 5. Swing. Rocking motion from side to side for delicates. And 6. Stepping. the drum tumbles and halts to let things drop from the top. Also used at the end to loosen laundry. I'm hoping to get a pc update to get the 6motion on my model. I love lg and though i'd share with you guys. Darren.

Hey guys!

Paul: They've started to trickle through online etc. I saw a couple in comet and a couple in currys! I've e-mailed LG about brochures but you can only download online atm and its still the range with my lg on atm. And i enquired as to weather the LG 11kg with steam is out with this range and they said they were unsure when it would be out. But another washer chum of mine e-mailed them expressing his interest and said he only wanted it with steam and they told him september so we'll see.

Dyson2drums!: i love them! The smoke door reminds me of oldschool electrolux machines from the 80s which are one of my fav models ever!!! I'm hoping i can get a pc update so i can get 6motion technology on mine if not...i may have to save up for one of these! Oh dear i told my other half that was it and i wouldnt buy another one for a long time..so lets hope they can update it lol.

Maytagbear! You may've just misunderstood me!:D The new "range" of appliances as in the new line up! lol Not a range cooker as you've may've thought! apologees!

Darren

Oh!

Just another example of being divided by a common language!

I don't think that those of us in the States say "range" for "product line."

Carry on washing!

Door Opening....

Hey lads!

Loving the look of the new LG's! I never really considered them until they brought out the steam version and then interest started growing...however, i have a Miele which is only 3 years old so the chances of me getting to play around with one is slim to none! Although i'm not complaining :-)

What i was interested to know is how the door opens on the UK LG's? The American ones simply just pull and they open, but do the UK models have a latch you have to pull on to release the door latch?

pedro. My model has a door handle release. The replacement model in the new range is a pull door like the american models. I'm probably lg's biggest fan. My interest grew with the launch of the steam models. It really works! Darren
