A few weeks ago Fisher and Paykel (FP) introduced a new model of their Ecosmart agitator washer. It's bigger (4.2 IEC from 3.7) and now has an Allergy cycle (hot wash and two deep rinses). Lowes added this washer to their website today. (They had previously stocked the earlier version.)

Although the changes are not drastic, it does show that that FP believes in TL agitator washers. The efficiency of this machine is very good and it washes well. It is Energy Star rated but is not an HE washer and does not require HE detergent. It has auto water level, but you can over-ride it to Small, Medium, or High.

I've seen some really good reviews on the previous model Ecosmart machines. I really like this machine. I believe one of our members has one and seems to like it. I've seen his posts on FP both on this site and Garden Web.

Comments anyone?
