So I guess this patent that is featured today never took off. It looks like a Dual-Action agitator design for Kenmore that mechanically rotated in one direction while simultaniously moving in a verticle motion. I suppose the closest thing to this that did stick was the spring-loaded version better known as the "Triple-Action" agitator.

I wonder how many people went into Sears saying "I really miss my GM Frigidaire with the agitator that went up and down. Why don't you guys make one like that?" Sort of like what Gordon said several days ago, I too wonder what some of the backroom talk must have included. Was this to be an attempt as combining a little Kenmore with a little former Frigidaire? "Look!!! Now you can have a machine that does the same as two seperate machines!"

Thoughts or concerns?

Wear?

It looks complicated with those spiral tracks. With the force of agitation, I wonder how quickly it would wear and how hard it would be to service?
