It's time for the Bendix to leave. I was thinking about using it for a project, but due to the low rpms of the basket, it may not be intact if it were to over 700 rpm. The electric needs a good looking over. The electrical components are just too old for me to feel comfortable about restoring it. I've had it for ~ 1 year I believe. I paid $35 for it, and that is what I am asking for it.

The maytag dishwasher was given to me. I am not really a dishwasher person, so it has to go as well. Judging by the font of the writing on the console, and the DD pump system, it must have been made in the 90's. It works, but needs a new seal around the door. The racks have rust here and there. This dishwasher is free.

Someone please save these, otherwise they go to the pile. And we all know what the fate of the pile is....

That Maytag dishwasher will outclean many other types, but it'll make a lot of noise in the process. It's a good machine, just loud, and when loading you always need to be sure not to block the pop-up tower. A little "Re-Rack" touch-up and that thing should be ready to go unless a door seal is tough to find and install.

That exact Maytag is my daily driver and, although unglamorous, it is one of the best machines I've ever used. It is noisier than any new machine on the market today and it has a plastic tub(feh!). Its washing ability is great, I like being able to boost the wash and/or the rinse temps, and am VERY fond of the useful and well designed Quick Cycle that comes close to the cycle I use at work; very quick very efficient for small loads and truly lightly soiled loads. The racks are not only capacious, but they accommodate lots of different sized items and the top rack is easily removable when I want to wash my refrigerator shelves, the odd washing machine agitator and other bulky items. And with my recent experience with electronic digital controls, I'm so happy to have a dishwasher with mechanical ones. I'm always looking locally for a spare to have on hand in case I need parts or a new one. I'd love to pair this machine with a vintage KitchenAid or maybe even a new Miele. I actually replaced the fancier upper rack that came with the machine with a more BOL rack that accommodates my cereal bowls perfectly. And, it's blue. An odd looking interior, but it suits me.

I had one of these DW in a rental property once.
I sounded like a freight train when running. I tried to deaden the sound with fibreglas ceiling tiles stapled to the unside of the cabinet space, but that didn't do much.
