I have a Frigidaire main dishwasher pump motor it's the Askoll and I want to turn it into a grinder drain pump.I was looking at Hobart's patents and I did not know that the disposer is both a grinder and a drain pump for it.It says it can grind cigarette butts,Olive pits, tooth picks and even more.It would fit in that Pump pretty good and with so J.B. Weld I could form the lip mold and lay place a piece of steel off set like in the pump. The water would go in and be pushed out of the hole in the back of the pump that is where the grinder blade is now for that Frigidaire dishwasher I got it from that is a holding area for it to grind which it don't do well and then the drain pump sucks it out. With the Hobart impeller it would grind and push it out to the drain.I was wonder why it had those teeth on the outside of the impeller when I had my K-Aid.I did not know that is the part of the pump.I don't plan on throwing in bones and all but I think it would make a great drain pump and would fit..G.E. dishwasher's even though they say they have a grinder the food will never touch it now there is a steel mesh screen that keeps out everything I am talking about the Pureclean not the other power scrub G.E. dishwasher's.I could attach it to my G.E. and even if I had warranty work done just swap it back out..Anybody else have ideas Surgilator/Jay warned me that there easy to stop up well I did that already....
