Howdy folks. My wife and I recently purchased an old home which included one of these in it's basement. It's a Maytag 124 S and we've actually used it a couple times now and apparently it still works. The previous owner passed away so we don't really have any anecdotal information to fill out it's history. Anyway, we're not so much into the vintage appliances but we'd hate to 'trash' this thing. Anyone interested in it?

My roommate just got the matching dryer, I think. Let me check with him but I think something might be able to be worked out.

Do you have any pictures?
Dave

My mistake,

His dryer has the lighted control panel and would not be a match. I'll mention it anyway though. If someone else wants this one tough, please go for it.

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks for offering it here instead of just trashing it.

I'll post some pics tomorrow

Jotted down the serial number tonight: 274385 sp . It's definitely got some wear but nothing worse than could be expected from an appliance that's been in use for fifty years

Apologies for the poor picture quality. The computer and camera are still boxed so I had to go cell phone quality.
