Hi Every one I am back from the UK WASH IN! What a great time we had!
What a great and generous host Mike and Tighe are! Thank you so much for welcoming me into your wonderful home and making me feel like an old friend.

We did alot of laundry and my shirt got washed for 24 hours before it hit the Maytag condenser dryer!

Wait till you see the MINT Frigidaire Spin Dryer and the Camper Twintub with clear view action!

I was OFCOURSE in love with Mikes' Bendix! It is so similar and yet so different! The motor ofcourse is 220V 50 cyc SO it was made by English Electric of London and the drum pulley is almost half the size of its US cousin because of the 50 cycles service!

We changed the oil in the tranny of the Bendix for Mike and started it up, smooth bearings but the spin solenoid was failing so it would not go into spin.
Which didn't matter since we had an 1800 RPM Frigidaire Spin Dryer and a Hotpoint FilterFlo 2000 RPM washer dryer at our disposal.

Mike invited John & Ray up from Birmingham and we had a real Wash In!

Mike is a terrific Cook! He made delicious meals and then one night I had only mentioned to him and Tighe that I would like to try some fish & chips SO off Tighe went to the store and came back with this big meal of yummy fish and chips.

In the day Mike took me all over Chester take alook at how beautiful it is there!

Cheers
Jetcone

Thanks for a wonderful stay and I am soo glad you have ordered your solenoid! Now that Bendix will be running in no time--Poor Tighe no time for him anymore!

Thanks everyone for taking a gander at my photos,I do think an English Convention should be in the future.

Jon

Hi Jon, I just got done going through all of your pictures. I knew that you had a fantastic collection but I had no idea how large and fantastic it really is. I love the way you mixed in the vacuums and the Vita Mix with your pictures. Loved the convention pictures as well. Such a great time! Thanks so much for sharing these. Terry
