It's almost like a vibration squeak but the washer is level and the tub isn't out of balance (since it's empty). |

I think I heard the same noise (although may have imagined it LOL) in DanManTN's video of the insides of his. Maybe I'll just tell myself that? ;) |

My Top Load Speed Queen is very quiet, I do not get any squeaking or vibration during spin or wash cycle, and I have had the machine for about 2 years now. |

I've heard the "metallic" sound of the transmission on occassion - which is almost unnoticeable, and way louder than it really is on the video. I have noticed the faintest of squeak (as in super-straining my ears to detect) that may possibly be from the metal spring that attaches the metal frame to the wash basket. Those points of contact are greased from the factory...may have worn off a little bit...again, the one time I heard that I was straining. The AWN542 has the extra sound insulation on it.
Other than that the quietest, sturdiest, stable-est toploader that I have EVER used and has never gone out of balance. Of course, I know how to load it as well. :) I don't miss the days of my WP bang-bang sessions. Yesh! It's kinda funny - thought I would miss the end of cycle buzzer that my WP had. Not so...now I know all the clicks and whirls to easily know when the washer is done or what cycle it's in. I think my fav is when the washer hits cruising speeds and makes that cool swwoooooosh sound. :D |
