Hi guys. A neighbor of mine has one of the older Amana badged front load washers like the one shown below...model NFW7200TW. I believe these were made under the Samsung contract Maytag had...correct?
The issue with it is that it will not spin. It does everthing else it is supposed to do...fill, tumble/wash/rinse, drain, etc. The repair guy told him it was the "speed controller"...and that it would cost more to repair than to buy a new one. I am assuming that means either a controller board is bad or something is wrong physically with the motor speed controller.
Would such a repair cost that much? Is it something a DIYer could fix? Thanks for any insight you can give. Much appreciated!
