Being relatively new here and having little of the knowledge that many of you have, I am soliciting your advice. I am preparing for a major kitchen overhaul and will need all new appliances. My stove and dishwasher are relatively new but I'm going to sell the ones I have and replace them. The refrigerator is a 1979/80 model Kenmore and it's dying a slow, painful death. I'm buying a new washer and dryer as well. While I can't afford the absolute top of the line in any of these appliances, I'd like to go with the high end of the MOL and it doesn't matter to me if they're not all the same brand. I'm inclined to go a little further on the dishwasher because I really like the idea of the stainless steel interior.

Prior to joining this site, I thought I couldn't go wrong with the Duet/Elite, Neptune or Calypso models. After reading the posts here (and another site dedicated specifically to the discussion of Calypso), I'm totally unsure.

May I please have your recommendations for each appliance that I could expect a relatively long life from since I am the only one to use them?

My advice is to buy Whirlpool, and buy from Costco. You Get more bang for your buck and double the warranty.

Unfortunately, However, The only way you can get the stove from Costco is to order it online. You may want to get it elsewhere. I Hope I was able to Help.
