Took these at a launderette in Ramsgate today- sadly its no longer features Frigidaire washers :( It had Maytag top load and Electrolux front loaders.

Sorry they are tiny- I forgot my phone was on the small setting :(.

The owner took over about 7 years ago- amazingly the original machines were still in use(well some were). They were replaced because parts were impossible to get.

And yes I did leave my number in case he wanted to sell the signs lol........

Hi Seamus, thanks for sharing this.

There is a premises which still has this sign up in Polegate, East Sussex too. Certainly the original machines were in service a few years back but I haven't been recently.

to make sure pockets were empty of all objects so as not to damage clothes! i am thinking more damage could have been done to the machine. i have heard many a tale of damage to the water bellows by pins, nails and other sharp objects.

That reminds me of a laundrette i went to when i was still livng at home and all there washers were frigidaires. When our washing machine broke my mum asked me to take the clothes the laundrette (we call em the bagggy lol) and i went there and they never washed the clothes properly at all. Nothing to do with the machines it was the fact i think the owner had sort of stopped caring about the buisness as the machines only filled up with cold water even thought hot was selected.

They were fun to use though :o)
