Speed Queen uses a self-cleaning filter in their TL's. Lint removal on ours is fair not great. Nothing beats the recirculated filtration on older TL's. |

My SQ FL has a filtering action. If you move back the fold of the gasket, there is a trap where water will cascade down the glass door and flow back into the wash tub. Larger pieces of lint and pet hair collect here. I typically scoup out the lint/hair after a three or four loads of laundry.

I use a metal mesh disposable lint snare or "sock" on the end of the Affinity discharge hose that empties into the laundry sink. I've used these for many years to keep help keep my sewer pipes running freely.
Is this an OK gauge to use for how well a self-cleaning filter works? They always seem to fill up real fast after washing throw rugs. |
