I had this in my phone since July ...
I was in Ocean city N.J. here was the second time i saw this machine the first was at my former job sight. It is a washer dryer combonation from Speed Queen the odd thing about the unit is that the door handle drops down for loading and it is pretty heavy i wonder how it well feel if a large load was in there whooo. I guess a good concept for space saving ,i don't think it it was to good to load or unload anybody experiance this model ? Here is the first picture you can see the dryer is off and is in the left corner of the pic. Took this shoot at someones summer home. I wonder what they replaced it with lol. Most likely a DD. |

I remember reading the Magazine ads for this model.
This was Speed Queen's design in the first series of Stacking the Washer and Dryer. I believe the stackables had smaller tubs on the washers and the dryers had smaller drums. I want to say I think they were one of the first 2 or 3 Manufacturers to have a Full Size Tub Hence the Tilt out design. |

We have one of these hooked up at our museum, ours is a 1988 electric model it works great. It is the same size tubs in both the W & D as the regular SQs and the best thing about it is it has a separate drain pump so the washer gives a 1/2 neutral drain like the 60s and 70s Norges. The one we have is hooked up and ready for this Saturdays wash-in in Beltsville.
