Hmmmm,
I have it under good authority there is an amazing gathering of the creme-de-la-creme of the AW membership gathered together to celebrate, what else but, what we all love, .... machines and camaraderie. Kudos to you all!!
Now, as someone who was suppose to be in attendance, it's time to share .... I'm sure several of you have been snapping great shots so now, give it up and share.
Can't wait to view moments of a great gathering.
Enough said ... hope to keep this threat moving forward.
Just me .... wringer_clean from Milwaukee, and soon to be a Madison resident.
Always, all the best!!!
Patrick
ps .... can't wait!! and Enjoy!!

Madison huh? Even less of an excuse to not come visit! hehe

Wish I could have been in DC - photographic evidence of those who attended is required before airport security will allow participants to board their return flights home.

I spoke with Darren (alspinboy), Paul (turquoisedude), and Kevin (revvinkevin) early this afternoon. They all said that they were having a good time, and that it was an incredible day yesterday at John's event.

Darren sent me this sole photo, and he added, "That ain't nothing yet." It is not my intent to steal anyone else's thunder. I was just as curious as Patrick and Ben, as to why nobody had posted any photos.

Interesting

Sounds like everyone had a great time.

I had no idea this wash-in was going on else I would've come and took lots of video (like I used to do).
Was the event posted on the website earlier or was it by invitation only?

That speed queen with the tilted washer is just awesome! What an innovative feature!

Nice that everything is at a very reasonable hight too.

I don't think there was a posting and invites I understand were strictly private. I didn't know about it either so I assume I'm not on the A list. Luckily for me I have a good group of folks on my side of the continent that graciously invited me to their wash-in.

There ie no A list in this club !!!

jeff_adelphi's profile picture
We had planned a small gathering of club members for a wash-in, and it ended up a little bigger then we thought.
This was to be a trial run for a bigger wash-in that all club members would be invited to. We hope this might happen in the next 1-2 years. Jeff

I also vaguely remember there was something posted about a possible get together earlier in the summer, I believe after the Vac convention in Austin.

Cool!

Well that will be awesome to have a huge wash-in/convention type thing.

Even though my collection is in storage and I can't do anything with them right now, I'm still interested and would love to join in any future events.

We should have an annual gathering on January 18th (1-18).

For something this huge......it wouldn't hurt to have like a $10.00 or $20.00 cover charge to help pay for some of the food, drinks, power and water to set all this up, it was appreciated to attend, but it has to cost a small fortune, and some of us would like to contribute and help, even if we brought some covered dishes or drinks....even a list of things needed for the gathering......

any thoughts?

Yay...that would be one to look forward to!!. yes a nominal ticket and / or a paypal contribution button. and yup even a small gathering one has to tick all the boxes...so can appreciate the work involved with this one..

Cheers to all involved in the preparation and to the people behind the pics as well...now where is that Easy Demo Spinner..!!!

I'd be glad to contribute some $ and a caramel cake! Actually, we should probably have a cook-off while we're admiring all those lovelies, dontcha think?

Nominal fee

appnut's profile picture
We have grown significantly since 2001 & 2002 conventions. I don't remember if there was a nominal fee for either Minnieapolis or Baltimore/DC, but it wouldn't surprise me--and should well be asked for, if not volunteered as a "offering". I think there was a nominal fee when we had the Tuscon gatherings.

Count me in

I'll do it. The food, water and power has to come from somewhere.

Convention

I think that would be really neat. I'd be more than happy to contribute money when possible and some volunteer time depending on availability and where it's located.
