Hi

Thank you! It's a very interesting link!
By the way, do you have a "washing" account on You tube?

Hi, Nmassman44.
Thank you for your reply.
I could watch some videos on Youtube, posted by some lucky men owning a W4800 ;) ! i know that so far this machine is not available in Europe and actually my question is: does anybody know if someday will it be?

Take care!
Marco

You could always contact Miele and find out if it will be available in your country. But I have to tell you that the machine its rather large in size. Plus it weighs close to 300 pounds. The washer does hold quite a bit but the dryer falls short on capacity. Yet thats really a non issue since it dries very fast.

hi Marco,
no, I haven't any account on you tube.

Despite the W48XX / T98XX series have some settings in the programming modes that are intended for european markets beyond evidence ( first of all, higher wattages on the interal heaters), meaning this they are ready for euro markets, my guess is Miele don' t sell them here in EU cause they are niche products.

Let's face it : while the Duet maybe is Whirlpool's bestseller in North America, its euro twins (aka Whirlpool Dreamspace and Bauknecht Big) are almost rare in EU.

The same thought applies to the Bosch Nexxt (called here in EU "Logixx 10"), the Hotpoint-Ariston Extendia and the big Samsung. Bosch does not even sell the matching dryer in europe

To cut a long story short : according to the current marketing trends, Miele does not want to have retailer storages full of unsold machines :-)

again

check it : latest manufacturers trend for european markets is rather to make washers with bigger drums in the standard 60x60x85 cm outer cases. Last summer Electrolux started selling the Affinity in Italy rebadged as Rex to check the sales feedback. The fact it is not sold in any other european country while Electrolux makes plenty of 60x60x85/8Kg models (either badged as AEG,Zanussi/Rex or Electrolux itself) is self-explanatory......

So the 60x60x85 outer size is the best seller : Miele makes the 8 Kg W59XX series (W 5983, W5985 ...), Bosch makes the Logixx 8 seriex (sold as Axxis in the US), Whirlpool this 9 Kg Carisma series :

Favorit

Thank you again for the explaination
Yes, I guess that marketing rules are differents from a country to another. Like "snelle" 33 or 40 cm. depht front loaders available in Italy but not in France...
May be slim washer could be an interesting subjet for a new thread ;D
