the ad reads:

Washer from 1960's. It is clean throughout, no rusting except for the dent in the front.
The rollers still have the plastic on them. Do not believe this was ever used. Have the original owners manual and parts list.

Does the dent in the cabinet count as "unused"?

Based on the dents, etc we see on new product we get, I'd say (unfortunately) yes...

I'm with Drew, based on my experience with AJ Madison and the Danby DTT-420 I ordered. The thing took a month to get here and had a puncture wound in the side. Worked fine, and I figured if it took a month to get here one only knows how long it would have taken to do the exchange. Still, a $400 washer with a hole in it... yeeez

I would bet the dent is from moving it around and had nothing to do with actual use. It does appear to be in very good order.

At the time I bought a DD KN washer from Sears-the delivoryman brought it over and unboxed it-low and behold the control panel was dented-and not a mark on the box-He called the Sears store and they knocked off $100 off the price-Not Bad.The washer did fail a week later and Sears fixed it free-the machine needed an overhaul! Both drums had to be replaced!Later,at the Dixon Swap Shop-swapped the machine for a BD WPImperial90 which I still have to this day.So I guess cabinet dents may count as "new unused"but see if the priced can be knocked down to reflect the damage.
