I don't think Canada ever had this version of the WP/KM dryer, with the lint storage bags. I notice that the lint storage is on the opposite side of where the lint trap is on the other models. I see that those dryers were made in the days of the belt-and-pulley drive system. This this dryer have the same mechanical layout as the others? And did it have the same blower and air circulation system?
Ingliscanada, i am not sure about the internals mechanisms, this dryer had a disposable bag to capture lint. I think there have been posts about additonal noise so there must of been some other/ or modified components to make the system work. IMHO the 29 inch whirlpool/kenmore dryer with the stationary rear bulkhead and the large top mount pull out filter that followed, todays P.O.D. are the gold standard of dryers. Last month i found one, a gas Kenmore to replace a Frigidaire gas dryer. The Kenmores usually had "soft heat" that tapered the heat down as the laundry dried and a very long extended cool down period and extended intermittant tumble to decrease wrinkling "wrinkle guard". Having a Hamper door is like a religion, you either embrace it or hate it. Its a must have for me. alr2903
