Howdy!

I've been looking for a copy of the Maytag service manuals for a while now with no luck. Everything seems to be discontinued or sold out.

Does anyone have PDF of them? Or, if you have a real manual, might I borrow it and scan it in for the benefit of all?

Eric -

Which manuals are you looking for? I had Robert post a copy of the AMP manual in the Service Manual section. Also, Dan (qsd-dan) has posted a few different versions of the Helical repair manual as well. An archive search with his handle and "manual" should turn up those older threads.

Well, I have a few pre-1966 machines, as well as a few 806s and a de606, and DG309. Searched the archives but all I found were single pages out of the manuals by qsd-dan, but then again the searcholator broke after the first page.

Eric, I know a fellow in Oklahoma who may have the manuals you are looking for. He's not a board member, but he does check on the posts from time to time. Would you object to me contacting him on your behalf??

Hi Eric, I searched the Search-a-lator using the word "manual" and the user as "qsd-dan" and it brought this thread right up. Can you elaborate on "but then again the searcholator broke after the first page."? I was trying to figure out if something needs fixing, it seemed to work perfectly for me.

Sounds good to me, Paul!

The info Dan has posted is awesome - but I'd like to have manuals as a set, as a PDF with the whole shebang. I can OCR them and they become searchable.

So I tried the same search with both FireFox and Safari. The first is the error message I get with FireFox:

and then, trying the same search in safari, i get a different number of results!

safari is on top.

How bizarre!

10.6.4 and 10.6.5 both do this, safari 5.0.2 and FireFox 3.6.12.

Perfect Eric, thank you so much for the detailed screen shots, that helps me enormously.

From your screen shots I can tell the bug in searching has nothing to do with Firefox or Safari, it has to do with whether the user is logged in or not.

I'll work on figuring that out and fixing it as soon as possible.

Give it a try now...

Thank you Eric, all fixed (at least I believe it is lol). I'm surprised we haven't seen that bug earlier, looking over the code I realized for certain types of searches my table-join commands were slightly off kilter which threw off the display of Super/ATT/DTY threads that came up in the search.

I know you know what I'm talking about 'cause you know all about DB's :-)

Thanks again for your help.
