I think that Mother is more partial to the daughter in the dress. Notice that they both have the same expressions. Sister in the jeans looks like she'd love to push Sister w/the dress into the lake, but she dutifully smiles for the camera. Also, she hates having to wear the Frigidaire crown, but Mother makes her do it. And I wonder what the purpose of the little doggie is. (hee-hee!)

I agree completely! I think daughter-on-the-left is probably the bad girl at her Catholic school. She's all about cigs and the cycle-riding rebel boyfriend. Goody-two-shoes daughter is playing the game cuz she wants to inherit the Mercedes convertible and the good china...

Guess Frigidaire lost their crown when they sold to WCI.
Then their symbol became a sledgehammer!

And having owned an 80's-era WCI-made Frigi TLoader, it was a sledgehammer with a badly connected head and a wimpy handle. The transmission on my machine was ready to give up the ghost after a year. I hated the indexing tub and the exclusive "No-Rollover, Guaranteed!" agitation. Oh, I almost forgot the (so-called) lint filter which recirculated about 2 gallons of water per cycle.... I waited all through the 70's (the 1960 Kenmore just WOULDN'T DIE!!) to get a Frigidaire and when we did, it was....well, not really a Frigidaire at all.

and silly me, I thought it was three generations of queens.

Subliminally.... Grandma bought it but it will endure (because it's a FRGIDAIRE!) through the generations to be Buffy's (or Mitzy's or Kitty's WHATEVER!) one day....

Leave granny's dog alone!, she wants something to love and lover her right back!
