Wow, there's a model we don't see too much of here. It even has a fair starting price too!

That was the little dryer sold in the department with ironing boards and irons. It was made by Proctor or maybe Proctor Silex. The little square washer had a round tub and a wringer.

This was more like the tadpole to the frog eye.

it is a 120 volt dryer; thus maybe 1500 watts max.

I grew up in a house with a 120 volt dryer built in the 1940's. It would take forever to dry stuff; since the wattage about 1500 watts. My dad got it before I was born and the parents lived in a 120 volt Apartment back in the 1940's that had no 240 volt service.

Today Haier/China makes a 110 volt dryer the model HLP140E that is over 200 bucks.

In Ventura County California the rainfall is not much; the humidity is very low. One can take a pair of pants out of an old washer that has a slow spin speed; hang the pants up in the bathroom and they would be bone dry sometimes in 1/2 a day. Los Angeles has only about 10 to 12 inches of rain each year; Ventura county borders in on the West/North part.
