The auction says:::
This is a 1940's era front load Bendix Washer. I an unsure if it works as cord should be replaced. Otherwise it looks in fairly good condition with only some surface rust to base and one chip to the enamel near door. Height is 34 3/4" plus another 3/4" for ridge near back. The diameter of the white front is 22". The black bottom area is 22 1/2" wide. The depth is 18". Local Pickup only.

It never dawned on me that the bendix machines were only 18" deep. Are these measurements correct? alr2903

any guess on this units weight?

The base looks like it is the "standard model" base, like page 73 in the service manual, with the two doors for servicing the power plant (ac motor).

page 85 mentions one variant (model B deluxe) washed at 59rpm and extracts at 333 rpm.

pre-'40s?

might be pre-'40s,1937,38? Since there is no suspension and
no counterweights,i have heard these are fairly light-perhaps
around 150lb. Seen one at a museum earlier this year,and when
nobody was around tipped it up on one side-did seem pretty
light.Also they are smaller than they often appear to be in
photos.
